Biography

桐朋学園大学首席卒業。霧島国際音楽祭にて特別奨励賞およびサントリー賞受賞。第6回大阪国際室内楽コンクール、トリオ部門にて日本人初第3位入賞。

2021年、世界初録音を含む『間宮芳生 チェロとピアノのための作品集』(コジマ録音)をリリースし、レコード芸術「準特選盤」、朝日新聞「推薦盤」等で高評価。ピアニスト山田剛史とのデュオ「ガット弦×フォルテピアノで聴くシリーズ」が人気。トリオ・ハービッヒ、ドルチェマーニ(マンドリン奏者 堀雅貴とのデュオ)メンバー。

Mariko Takahashi, Cello

Mariko Takahashi graduated at the top of her class from the Toho Gakuen School of Music. She received the Special Encouragement Prize and the Suntory Award at the Kirishima International Music Festival, and became the first Japanese ensemble to win Third Prize in the Piano Trio Division of the 6th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition.

In 2021, she released Michio Mamiya: Works for Cello and Piano (Kojima Recordings), featuring several world-premiere recordings. The album received critical acclaim, including the Semi-Grand Prize from The Record Geijutsu magazine and a Recommended Recording designation by The Asahi Shimbun.

She is widely recognized for her duo concert series with pianist Takashi Yamada, featuring historically informed performances on gut-string cello and fortepiano. She is also a member of Trio Primavera, Trio HARBICH ,and Dolcemani ,a duo with mandolinist Masataka Hori.

Alongside her concert career, she is actively engaged in chamber music, historically informed performance, and educational projects throughout Japan.
